What are the advantages and disadvantages of living in the Washington, DC? - washington dc gyms

I am interested in moving to Washington, DC, in the future. If I make up my mind to move, I will live after 2010. You may need on their own and without family and / or friends around and not married are living. If I choose to Washington, DC, what are the pros and cons go for a person living in the capital and surrounding changer of stay?

Advantages:
'Much to do! Especially if you are interested in history. The Smithsonian is free!
* DC receives many large groups - that is an ideal place for music! The club scene is also good!
* Easy to get around - although it may slow the DC Metro (subway) is easy to use and are often open late on weekends!
* Good Sports Equipment - Redskins, capital, National, DC United, Wizards ...

Disadvantages:
* Your face. Expect to pay at least $ 1000 rent per month if you want to live alone. It will probably be much higher in 2010!
* The traffic sucks. To get the share of new developments, I doubt that this will be solved here by the time of their arrival.

My advice Visit CC for a weekend or a week and see how you like.

I've heard that DC is one of the worst places to live. The high crime rate is safe on the streets at night. living.parking high cost facilities are not the greatest. Tour driver told us that Govt. were the only ones who could afford to live there. cheaper to live outside the area and get to work.
